PSO-Oregon has established a series of goals to guide us as a staff union in both the short and long term. Among the goals recently approved by our members:

  1. Promote union values internally and externally

  2. Promote partnerships with mutual respect and shared values among all levels of OEA membership, staff, and management

The union members of OEA Professional Staff Organization (PSO) work to:

  1. Support you, the OEA members

  2. Advocate for OEA’s core union values:

  3. Support public education

  4. Maintain good working conditions

  5. Honor solidarity among union members

Most of us are former educators AND former NEA members. Many of us have been OEA leaders, then staff members, then upon retirement become OEA members again.

Interested in becoming a PSO member? Apply! Keep an eye on OEA’s website for any current job postings: www.oregoned.org/jobs

NEA also has a special program for training members to become UniServ Consultants. Call OEA for more information: 1-800-858-5505.

UNIONS: The folks who brought you the weekend, and the duty-free lunch...

PSO union members work the weekends, nights, and whenever it’s necessary to get the job done with our OEA members in public schools and community colleges. PSO is your partner in advocacy, standing shoulder to shoulder with educators across the state to earn good contracts, enforce your workplace rights against lawyers and administrators, and fight the good fight in Salem.
